Service Contract Act Compliance   Service Contract Act Compliance

by The Onsi Group | 07/03/2018

Angela Hendrix, JD, Founder and President of The Onsi Group will be presenting a course hosted by the South-West Texas Border Small Business Development Center, UTSA

This course provides an overview of the Service Contract Act and the necessity of insuring compliance when working on federally funded contracts. When providing services to the government, contractors have an obligation to ensure the correct wage determination is being used, workers are properly classified, pay is at least the minimum required by wage determination and fringe benefits are properly paid and identified. The Department of Labor has increased audits to ensure contractors are in compliance with the McNamara-O’Hara (SCA) law. Failure to comply with the components of the law can have serious consequences to include not only paying workers back wages that are due, but also fines, and possible debarment.

Who should attend?
